Shunt arduino
WebNov 29, 2024 · Try moving the shunt to the south of the load, between load and ground, and keep the Arduino's ground at the same level as V1's ground. If you can't do that, and/or if you want to avoid having to amplify the measured voltage and/or insist on measuring on the high side, you could consider using an INA260 or similar. Breakouts are available. WebAug 7, 2014 · The plan is to use a 10A 75mV current shunt as a current sense resistor then use an opamp to amplify the voltage across the shunt resistor then use the Arduino's onboard ADC to measure the voltage then calculate current using ohm's law. Here are my calculations: 10A full scale = 75mV across the shunt resistor. 1A = 7.5mV.

WebMy third shunt measures current into and out of the battery bank (so, two separate measurements on that particular shunt). I followed the example depicted below, but instead of Bayite meters, I used an Arduino Nano and two ADS1115s (in differential mode). Also take notice that the example I followed, has the shunts installed on the negative rails.

How does Arduino measure energy consumption? In order to measure energy consumption, you need to use a shunt. A shunt is a resistor which you put in your electronical circuit: when current go through the little value resistor, a differential voltage is created.
WebBut in this project we will build our own curent meter using Arduino microcontroller. Using a shunt provides a lot more flexibility in the current range that's available, ... The resistance value is given by the voltage drop at the maximum current rating. For example, a shunt resistor rated with 100A and 50mV has a resistance of 50 / 100 = 0.5 ...
