Now, clearly it's the bridgeposition where these models differ greatly. Very much unlike the "vintage" McCarty bridge pu's, the Dragon I bridge pu had a ceramic magnet and was wound at a super-hot 19k.

The over the top output these pickups have make them super sensitive to dynamics which is something you do not see much in high output pickups. Web3 gen 2014 · I have a set of Dragon II's in my Custom 22. Personally, I like them. I had a set of Duncan Distortions at one point, but went back to the Dragon II's. In my experience, running a clean boost with these pup's helps out a lot. I know a lot of guys dont like them, but I think they are great.
